Who we are
DinkedIn is run by Val Bonite, an individual based in Cebu City, Philippines (the same person behind vlbonite.co). In this page "we" and "us" mean Val Bonite. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). For anything about your data, write to Val Bonite at hi@vlbonite.co.
By using DinkedIn you agree to what this page describes. If you don't, please don't use the app.
What we store
- Your account: your email (to send sign-in codes), your name, your player or photo, the gear you wear, and that you said you're 18 or older.
- Your profile, if you fill it in: where you usually play, your level, doubles or singles, and your usual times.
- Your settings: favourite courts, whether the crew shows, tips you've closed, your crew (who greets you), "Let the crew use my stats", "Let the crew remember what I tell it" and quiet hours.
- Notifications, if you turn them on: for each phone or laptop, the address its browser gave us for notifications (at Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft) and its keys, the kind of device ("iPhone"), and which reminders already went out. See Notifications.
- What you tell the crew: your questions in the crew chat for 2 days, and up to 10 short notes made from them. See The crew and AI.
- Your games: the groups you're in, the sessions and matches you play (scores, wins, ratings), RSVPs, claims, and the numbers worked out from them (totals, level, seasons, partners, rivals, venues).
- Things you add: your booking log, photos and captions, live notes, court edits and new courts you suggest, stickers you give.
- Usage counts: which screens and courts get opened and which booking buttons get tapped, in the app and on the court pages, counted without your name, account or IP address. The app pages also use Google Analytics to count visits; it sets its own cookies.
We collect it in three ways: what you type or upload, what the app records as you use it (your games, the usage counts above), and what other players add about games you were in (a score entered by your partner, an RSVP an organizer marks for you). We don't buy data about you from anyone.
We don't sell any of it, and there are no ads.
Why we keep it
- To run the app for you: sign you in, show your groups and games, work out your stats.
- To show your games to the people you play with, as set out below.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to tell you about changes that matter.
- To keep DinkedIn safe and working: stopping spam and abuse, fixing bugs.
We do it with your consent, given when you make an account, and because we need it to give you what you signed up for. We don't send marketing email.
Who can see what
- Only you: your email, your settings, your booking log, your age answer, and what the crew remembers about you.
- People in a group with you: your name and player, your games and ratings in that group, your profile page (#/u/…) with your level, record, partners and rivals from groups you share, and your profile basics.
- Any signed-in player: your profile page too, but only if you choose that in Me › Settings › Who can see your profile. Group names and people from groups they aren't in stay hidden either way.
- Nobody signed out ever sees your profile.
- Court photos, court edits and new courts you add are public once approved, without your email.
Outside the app we share data only when:
- You ask us to, for the reason you agreed to.
- The law requires it, such as a court order, a subpoena or a lawful request from the authorities.
- It's totals for a booking platform or sponsor (such as Sports360 or Onda Fit): how many people tapped through to their pages, at which courts and when. Never who you are.
- DinkedIn changes hands: if it is merged, sold or funded, your data can go with it, under this same policy.
- A service runs part of the app for us: our web host, the email service that sends sign-in codes, the AI service below and Google Analytics. They get only what their job needs.
The crew and AI
Some crew lines are written by an AI service from Google (Gemini). It gets only the few facts a line needs, never your email. Today those facts can include game numbers: your games and wins this week (Dink, on your Clubhouse) and a session's results with other players shown as P1, P2 (Smash's match report).
"Let the crew use my stats" (on by default) is in Me › Settings. It is saved now but not read yet: from the update that gives the crew more to work with, the crew will use your game numbers only while it is on.
What the crew remembers. So the crew can help you better next time (and ask how your tournament went), it keeps a little of what you tell it in the crew chat:
- Your questions, for 2 days, then they're deleted. Only your own words: never the crew's answers, and nothing from anyone signed out.
- Up to 10 short notes made from them once a night, like "working on my backhand" or "tournament Sat 25 Oct". Say "remember that…" and the crew keeps a note straight away. A note never holds other people's names, contact details or money beyond court prices.
- The notes go to the AI with your own questions only, never to anyone else's crew, and nobody else can see them.
See it and delete it: Me › Settings › What the crew knows lists every note. Delete one with its ✕, or tap Clear all.
Turn it off: switch off "Let the crew remember what I tell it" in that same list. Nothing new is kept and the notes go. Turning the crew off in Me › Settings does the same. Deleting your account removes them too.
Quiet hours
Set the hours you don't want to hear from us (Manila time) in Me › Settings. No tips, nudges or notifications come between those times.
Notifications
Notifications are off until you switch them on for a device in Me › Settings › Notifications, and you pick which kinds you get: games in your groups, your bookings, and the crew's check-ins.
Each notification is encrypted before it leaves our server, and the service that carries it to your device (Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft, depending on your browser) can't read it. It carries the title and one line you see, like "Court at 6:00 PM", and the page it opens.
Turn it off: switch off On this device in the same card, or block notifications for dinkedin.club in your browser. Signing out stops them on that device; Sign out everywhere and deleting your account stop them on every device and remove what we kept for them.
Export and delete
- Export: Me › Settings › Your data › Export my data downloads a file with what is stored about your account: the account, profile, settings, groups and seats, claims, booking log, locker, stickers, stats, what the crew remembers (its notes and your questions from the last 2 days), and the devices you turned notifications on for. Things that belong to a group or the court list aren't in it: the sessions you played, RSVPs, photos and posts, reactions, live notes, stickers you gave, court edits.
- Delete: Me › Settings › Your data › Delete my account. Type your email to confirm. We remove your account, your settings, your booking log, locker and photo, what the crew remembers, your notification devices, your claims, your 🔥 reactions, your live notes and your stats, and sign you out everywhere. In groups, your past games stay as a guest seat with the name you played under, so other players' history still adds up. Photos you posted in a group stay with the group under the name you posted with; delete them first if you want them gone. Court edits you suggested stay, without your account.
- If you're the only owner of a group, make someone else an owner first (or delete the group).
- We keep a note that an export or delete happened (your account number and the time, nothing else). Backup copies roll off within about 4 weeks.
Cookies
- Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. It does nothing else.
- Google Analytics sets its own cookies (
_ga,_ga_*, kept up to about 13 months) to count visits and which pages get opened. It stores a random number, not your name or email. - The app also remembers things like your theme and tips you've closed in your browser's own storage, on your device only.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie means you can't stay signed in. DinkedIn doesn't respond to "Do Not Track" signals, because there's no agreed standard for them.
Where it's kept and for how long
On our web host, Hostinger. We keep your data while you have an account and delete it when you delete your account, as set out above, unless the law requires us to keep something longer. What sits in backups is kept apart and rolls off within about 4 weeks.
We take reasonable care to keep it safe: sign-in by emailed code, no passwords to leak, and your booking log blocked from the open web. No website can promise it's 100% secure, and we can't either.
Children
DinkedIn is for players 18 or older, or younger players with a parent or guardian's permission. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child gave us data without your say, write to hi@vlbonite.co. Once we've checked, we'll delete it.
Other websites
Court cards link to booking pages, Facebook pages and maps we don't run. Their own privacy policies apply there, so read them before you give them your details.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, take or delete your data, to object to how we use it or limit it for a while, and to withdraw your consent. Most of it you can do yourself in Me › Settings; for anything else write to hi@vlbonite.co. If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the same rights. Saying no to what we need to run the app means you can't use the parts that need an account. You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Changes
We may update this page when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
